Max, a very handsome blenheim, came in to rescue after he was found by a kindly woman in the Midlands after he had clearly escaped from some awful situation. He was wearing a collar with an attachment through it that showed he had been tied up much of the time and his back was covered in layers of grease and he was matted and filthy. Our best guess is that he probably lived tied up underneath a car or trailer outside. Along with being extremely dirty and bedraggled, he was also extremely thin and absolutely famished.

But as you can see, underneath all that filth he has a beautiful Blenheim coat (although it took five baths in a row to get rid of the grease and dirt). He has spent some time in foster putting on weight. He has also now been neutered and chipped. He has a very mild heart murmur which requires no medication, but his new owner will want to have the vet listen to it each year.

Max is an extremely playful and affectionate boy who loves being cuddled and adores a game of tug-of-war or playing with other toys. He also likes other dogs and would be a great all-around family dog. He is very energetic and active too, and would enjoy lots of walks and activity as well as a nice sofa to rest on! He has a very cute face and has been tugging at lots of hearts in his foster homes.

His ideal home would be active and busy, perhaps with older children who would want a dog to play with, and where there would be another playful dog for companionship as he is happiest when kept busy (someone who likes doing agility would be great for him too!). One of the sweetest natured cavaliers we have ever had in -- and that is saying a lot given the sweet nature of the breed generally. He would not suit a quiet home or young children because he is a bit of an escape artist and an open door could mean he’d be off.

If you feel you can offer the perfect home for Max, you can download a homing application HERE and return it to Karlin@CKCSrescue.com. Please be sure to fill out the application fully!

He is a small dog around cavalier sized with lots of energy and playfulness and adores having kids and another friendly dog, ideally one around his size, to play with. A home with an existing dog would be ideal.

He has been fostered in a family situation so we know will fit well with older children (very small children are not appropriate). He has a good blend of cavalier and pug personalities–very loving and friendly and good natured, with every intention of being a lapdog, while at the same time being a bit of a goofball and fun-loving. He is house trained and knows a few commands. Everyone who has met him says he is a little gem!

He has now been vet-checked, neutered and chipped and is ready to start looking for his forever home. An adoption fee will cover those costs.

If you feel you can offer the perfect home for Prescott, you can download a homing application HERE and return it to Karlin@CKCSrescue.com. Going by her looks and build and coat, we figure she is likely a papillon cross. She is tiny and has huge feathery ears. Whatever has been shaken and stirred into her, she’s a real little sweetheart with a happy personality!

She came in as a pound dog and thus we don’t have any information on her. However she has gone to foster where she seems fine with children, and OK though a little wary with other dogs she doesn’t know. She is puppyish in behaviour so she may only be a year in age. She is extremely playful and will enjoy a busy household!

Her thick fluffy pom-like coat should not only be nice for stroking but also will be easier to maintain than a cavalier’s.

She seems a good all around dog and would likely fit in with either a family or an adult home. She’s been good with housetraining so seems to have been someone’s indoor dog though as with any new dog she will need guidance and.management to help minimise initial accidents.

She is spayed and chipped and a homing fee will apply to cover these costs.

If you feel you can give Millie the home she deserves, you can download a homing application HERE and return it to karlin@ckcsrescue.com.

He’s a lovely, friendly little man craving cuddles and attention, and very affectionate. Billy is about the size of a cavalier.

if he is not reclaimed on Monday 10th Jan he will be in URGENT need of a foster place and a new home and is at immediate risk of being pts so we hope we can get him out, and into a new life that treats him better than his old one apparently has!

If you can offer little Billy the future he deserves please download an application form HERE and return it to karlin@ckcsrescue.com.

Billy will be vet checked, neutered and chipped and as always, we ask a homing fee to cover these costs.

He appears to be a cavalier/westie or other hairy terrier cross, but his markings and colouring are those of a blenheim cavalier. :) He also has quite oversized eyes typical of a cavalier and a very waggy tail!

He seems to be fairly young -- perhaps two to three.

He gives every sign of being a very happy and friendly family dog and if his owners do not reclaim him, he will come to rescue and be rehomed after being neutered and chipped and vet checked.

UPDATE: This guy is now with Brenda at Inistioge Puppy Rescue so contact her directly for rehoming!
He is a gentle and active good natured boy who enjoys walks as well as relaxing inside with his family.

A big teddy bear, Jake would like a settled family situation without young children in the home as they make him a bit uncomfortable. He is fine out and about meeting kids but a home without permanent small youngsters would make him happiest. He’d fit into a home with older dog-friendly kids though, or teens; and of course he’d be well suited to an adult family.

Jake is neutered and has been well cared for by his current family.

If you are interested in offering Jake a home, you can download a homing application HERE and email it back to karlin@ckcsrescue.com.

Due to a change in family circumstances, he is looking for a new home.

He is a typical cavalier with people and other dogs -- enjoys people and also has tail wags for new dogs, male or female. Older children 12+ would be fine but he would prefer not to have toddlers around as he is uncomfortable with them.

He is a fairly quiet boy -- not yappy at all -- and a little reserved when he meets people for the first time.

He is neutered, chipped and up to date on his vaccinations.

She is about age 5-6 and may well have been an abandoned ex-breeding girl as her coat was quite matted and this is a typical age at which some cruel breeders dump their puppy farm dogs.

She has gone to foster where she has been bathed and groomed and has started to explore the world with some cavalier and human friends!

She is a gentle and sweet natured dog looking for a home where she will be well cared for and well loved.

She is currently reserved (she may be a failed foster project...!).
They could be homed together or separately.

Bear is about the size of a larger cavalier and looks more cavalier than spitz with pale markings similar to a blenheim. He is bursting with puppy energy and seems to have the more headstrong personality of a spitz, a quite independent and intelligent breed. He is mostly housetrained and is slowly learning some commands.

He will need the extra time a puppy demands so anybody interested in Bear must be willing to give that time and realise he still needs housetraining work and general guidance as well as lots of exercise. Like all puppies he will be likely to chew anything left around on the floor, to have some accidents in the house as he learns the ropes, and does not have the ability to leant once, remember always! Think of him as a typical 12 year old with a similar attention span at this stage!

He would do best in a home either with Penny or on his own or with another dog, where someone is home during the day, especially given his age. A condition of homing is a basic obedience class at Dog Training Ireland in Dublin asap, which will be offered at a discount. He is at the perfect age to be learning and a group class is the best possible environment to make dog and people friends!

Bear will be neutered and chipped before homing. He will likely need a little more grooming attention than a cavalier -- a good brushing a few times a week.

If you are interested in offering Bear a home, you can download a homing application HERE and email it back to karlin@ckcsrescue.com.
She has been a family dog and is happy with people of all ages, young to old; she has been in a home with children and another dog, Bear (an 8 month old puppy, a cavalier/spitz cross who is also looking for a home either with Penny or on his own).

She is a little timid with people she doesn’t know at first but is very playful and as she is a very young adult, has plenty of energy! She loves getting cuddles and being shown lots of affection throughout the day, and likes having someone talk to her and tell her what a good girl she is!

She would like to go to a home where someone is home during the day as it would not suit her to be left alone during a workday, and where either she would have her friend Bear as her companion, or another dog companion.

She has been in a home with children and cats and enjoys the companionship of a friendly cat, too.

She is spayed and chipped.

If you are interested in offering Penny a home, you can download a homing application HERE and email it back to karlin@ckcsrescue.com.

She is aged 2 and an adorable little cavalier. She gets on well with other dogs and also is comfortable with children and people of all ages.

She sometimes can be frightened of some men; she may have had a bad experience during a period when she was being boarded. A kind home that will show her she has nothing to fear will help her to earn to trust again; she has been quite happy in her foster home!

She is spayed and chipped and up to date with her vaccinations. She does have dry eye, a common health issue with this breed, where her eyes do not produce enough tears to keep her eyes lubricated. She will need daily drops or ointment for this, as otherwise she will develop painful scratches that can lead to sight impairment, so her new owner needs to be responsible towards her with this. The cream/drops are inexpensive but will be an ongoing expense. Many older cavaliers eventually develop this issue so vets are very familiar with it -- it is one of the side effects at times of having those big soulful eyes.

Her foster mum has this to say:

“Lucy is a lovely little dog, and she will make a great pet for any family. She is full of fun and bounce and loves her cuddles, especially having her tummy rubbed. She adores her walks and will play fetch for Ireland!”

If you are interested in giving Lucy a home, , you can download a homing application HERE and email it back to karlin@ckcsrescue.com.

NB: A NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING CONSIDERED! THANKS!

Amber (on the right, with her daughter Marabella on left) is one of a group of related family dogs from the same home who is now seeking a new home due to a change in the owner’s circumstances. She is a lovely blenheim girl and is the mother of Marabella and Buster, also seeking homes (NB Marabella is currently reserved).

Amber is a placid and very loving and gentle cavalier who is most deserving of a special place on the sofa and a warm lap in her forever home. She would suit an older children home (above age 10) or would be a great companion to older adults or a retired person. Due to an accident while young, she sadly lost part of her lower ears but as you can see in her picture, this is not noticeable as her long cavalier hair hides the fact that they are a little bit shorter than normal.

She has lived with other dogs, children and cats and would fit easily into a family home with kids, or into an adult home. She would certainly enjoy another dog around the house but this isn’t necessary. She also has lived with several cats and while introductions should always be careful on both sides between cats and dogs, she clearly would be a good option for a home with a resident cat or two.

She is settling in with housetraining in her foster home and has been doing very well! She is neutered and will be chipped.

If you are interested in offering Amber a home, you can download a homing application HERE and email it back to karlin@ckcsrescue.com.
