Welcome to Irish Cavalier Rescue
Irish Cavalier Rescue is a small rescue dedicated to helping Cavalier King Charles Spaniels in Ireland. Based in Dublin, the rescue will advise and help anyone needing to rehome a cavalier. We also will do our best to help any cavalier in an urgent situation (such as pound dogs, strays or cruelty cases). We can help breeders rehome ex-breeding dogs. We maintain a list of people interested in rehoming a cavalier.
-
• All dogs are spayed or neutered before homing.
-
• There is a homing fee of approximately €100, which sometimes can be higher depending on costs associated with a dog.
-
• Please note we NEVER have puppies. If you are interested in puppies, you can read important advice on finding a healthy CKCS pup here.
We do regularly have adults available of all ages. The majority are age three up, and most are males (so there’s a longer wait for females). All prospective homes are homechecked. In some areas of the country outside the Dublin region we don’t have anyone available to homecheck and so regrettably, cannot home cavaliers there, but we do try our best!
Sometimes we have special needs or older dogs that need homes -- and we would love to talk to you if you can offer a special dog a special place.
Please browse our website, where you’ll find information and links on what we do, getting a puppy, fostering, health issues to watch for, an application form to download to apply for the waiting list, and information on cavaliers generally. If you wish to get involved, we also always welcome foster homes and help with transporting cavaliers.
Please see the introduction section for a homing application and further details.
